Canada Auricular Medicine Centre was founded in October, 2006. It has departments of clinic, research and training. After thorough research and clinic practice, our founder, TCM Dr. Richard G.Y. Mao, defined Auricular Medicine by five words: combination, origin, comprehension, precision, and effiency, which could best describe its character, source, constitutes and clinic effect as a whole. In other words, Auricular Medicine is a perfect combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Westen Medicine, which has precise diagnosis and quick effect.
From clinic point of view, Dr. Mao put forward eight special features of Auricular Medicine: detecting medical history, detecting genetic diseases, diagnosing current diseases, predicting potential diseases, diagnosing accurately, treating efficiently, curing tough cases and operating simply. Detecting medical history means that a person’s medical history could be detected from the examination of his/her ears since the ears have records of the major diseases he/she had before. Detecting genetic diseases means that it could also detect the medical history of the patient’s immediate family, such as diabetics, duodenum, disease of gallbladder or bile tract, cancer and so on. Diagnosing current diseases means that Auricular Diagnosis could find out symptoms and causes of the illness the patient is having at the time of examination. Predicting potential diseases means that such diagnosis could not only detect medical histories and current illnesses, but also predict those diseases that are developing, even if the patient has not even been aware of any symptoms. Diagnosing accurately implies that Auricular Diagnosis could achieve at least 80% accuracy.
Treating efficiently implies that Auricular Treatment has very impressive efficiency since it could relieve pain almost in one minute. Curing tough cases implies that it has remarkable effect on diseases that are not easily curable by other kinds of treatment, such as TMJ disorder, vitiligo and so on. Operating simply means that the operation of Auricular Treatment is easy to learn and comprehend so that it could be popularized.
Auricular Medicine is a new development of an older scientific medical system with unique diagnosis and treatment methods originally from China. It is based on both classic theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine such as Yin Yang, Five Elements, Meridian and Zangfu; and Western medical theory such as Embryology, Anatomy, Immunology, Endocrinology, Genetics, Fluidism and Pathomorphology. This new system is being improved to maturity through our experts and scholars’ decades of continuous research and clinic practice. It has many advantages such as simple, effective, painless, free of side effects, etc.
Auricular Medicine is able to diagnose ailments anywhere in the whole body by expertly examining the colour, shape and electrical signal changes at certain acupoints on the ears. Once ailments are discovered, the symptoms and root causes of diseases can be determined. It is also extremely useful to determine whether a patient has tumor or not. The methods of Auricular Diagnosis include see, touch, measure and distinguish. Those methods are based on TCM diagnosis principles, and also involve regular methods of modern medicine. Meanwhile, it enhances the function of TCM diagnosis and simplifies the process, so it is very significant in clinic practice.
Auricular Medicine is able to diagnose and treat about 200 diseases including internal, surgical, gynaecological, etc. It is excellent for relieving pain, severe headaches and vertigo, as well as losing weight, eliminating addiction to smoking, drugs and alcohol. It is also an amazing technique for anti-aging and improving your appearance. Especially, it has instant effect of pain relief.
As a new division of medicine, Auricular Medicine still needs lots of research and clinic practice to improve itself. Therefore, we are calling for more professionals to join us, striving to the further development in this field. Our centre’s mission is to benefit Canadians’ wellbeing with Auricular Medicine.
Our centre has training program available for public all year round. There are three levels of class, which are elementary, advanced and specialized respectively. We will start a new class whenever ten people are enrolled in, held in Thursday evenings from 8pm to 10pm. Every class has 128 hours of lectures and 40 hours of training. The time of training can be flexible. We offer certificates for completion of study and advanced study. For details, contact Angela at 905-272-2503.
